After the brutal year of Corona Virus lockdown, some countries open for tourism. These countries have progressively begun to up their borders complete or partial to foreign visitors in an attempt to boost tourism.

For much of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic prevailed. Many governments all around the world have implemented or even banned border limits. In several places, governments have enforced lock-ups to advise individuals to stay at home unless it is imperative to leave.

Travel limitations, borders are being reopened and information regarding visa globally is changing frequently. It is better to constantly check for changes in countries open for tourism and their visa information. Moreover, try to get a vaccine passport.

Countries Open for International Tourism after COVID19

Some places across the world are currently open after COVID or intend to open their borders in the summer of 2020. These prospective holiday places with schedules and requirements for foreign tourists are as follows.

Italy

Italy has permitted entrance for visitors coming from countries with high rates of the vaccine.  Travellers from much of Europe to Italy are currently required to produce evidence of negative RT-PCR tests within 48 hours before arrival. They need to spend 5 days of quarantine and then do a second antibody test Covid-19. Travellers from outside Europe, including Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Rwanda and Thailand, who are now permitted to enter Italy must also be following the same processes. However, for 10 days rather than five, they will have to isolate.

Thailand

Thailand is partly available to select visitors now. The country asks everyone to quarantine at a state quarantine centre or Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) centre for 14 days, irrespective of the race of residency or status of vaccination. The country also invalidated entrance certificates (CeO), which were granted from May 1 to non-Thai citizens in India. The same is also going to be acceptable next month.

Austria

The Austrian authorities revealed their plan to rebuild borders for foreign travellers from Australia, Iceland, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea to visitors from the EU and the Vatican as early as 1 July. The country was also permitted to enter from Germany without quarantine. The condition is that travellers can prove that they have only been in Germany for the last ten days, with credibility.

Maldives

The Maldives is open to tourists from across the country except for the capital city, Malé as long as documentation of the negative test of the Covid-19 trial is available to tourists. Presently, UK visitors are liable to quarantine for ten days. But the Maldives prohibited South Asia travellers from 13 May 2021. This case relates to all visa holders from India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh. And anyone who have been transiting those countries over the last 14 days.

Greece

Greece opened its doors on May 14 to visitors. In addition to its vaccination and visitor test methods, the Country offered its beaches and galleries to tourists. If it can show it was completely vaccinated or give a negative Covid-19 test, Greece will permit tourist from the EU, the United States, UK and Israel.

United Kingdom

According to recent COVID travel regulations, the United Kingdom started foreign travel on 17 May into classifications Red, Green or Amber. At now only a United Kingdom citizen in the red list of places including India, South Africa, Namibia, and the United Arab Emirates can cross the borders. On arriving, they have to quarantine at a hotel and do two tests of Covid-19. A Covid-19 test on or before day 2 following your arrival in the UK will be a necessity for travellers from the green list countries. You must isolate the location you stay and take two Covid-19 tests for visitors from the amber zone countries.

Iceland

The Government of Iceland has recently declared that it is allowing its borders to vaccinated passengers outside the Eurozone. Or those recovering from Covid 19. The issues relate to vaccinated EUA/EFTA visitors, and to inhabitants of Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City who are permitted to travel Iceland without quarantine or to do a Covid-19 test (if the rate of infection in the 14 days is below 700 per 100,000). The government only accepts vaccination certificates with a vaccine that is approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Turkey

Turkey officially unveiled its relaxation in the virus limitations on Monday, after a three-week lockdown of new instances of Covid-19. Many restrictions on travel will be removed but bans will stay on night and weekends. In addition, the nation abolished the necessity to submit a negative virus test for travellers from 14 countries, along with the UK.

Malta

Malta is now permitting visitors to cross its borders from amber or green categories. While the green list does not currently include nations, residents from amber designated countries might visit Malta. They must pass a negative PCR test within 72 hours before they board to Malta and be randomly tested on arrival. If you do not submit a test, a swab test is necessary for you on your arrival or a 14-day quarantine term.

The Bahamas

On the 15th of June, the Bahamas allowed private vessels and private planes to land. Passenger airlines start again on July 1, and all passengers can enter. All visitors will be checked and health measures including social distance. the usage of face masks in the Bahamas must be followed.

Cyprus

Before the end of June, the island state plans to restart foreign travel. Countries are split into two lists. Category A nations’ visitors will not be restricted whereas Category B countries will require a PRC test to demonstrate that COVID-19 has not been issued within 72 hours before arrival to Cyprus. It is updated regularly on this list.

France

Depending on the nation of origin, the dates when tourists can visit France:

15 June — EU citizens and permanent residents may enter France. Quarantine is for 14 days just for people from Spain and the UK.

1 July — France likewise plans to reopen non-EU borders.

Croatia

Croatia only authorises visitors from EU nations if they have a negative test result of Covid-19 at the time of arrival. You should also be certified with the last dose taken over 14 days ago. If you do not have a Covid-19 test report, you should proceed to the airport and quarantine until the findings are reached. Except for certain conditions, tourists from outside the EU are not permitted.
