The independent electoral representatives also believe that President Trump should leave the office with honor.

However, Mr. Trump isn’t agreeing yet. For this, he is engaging in an extremely controversial approach of bringing in the Senators in field. The Senators (if they are in majority), can surely block the deal by not accepting the electoral results.

However, it seems to be a long shot. As, the Republicans would not dare to do so. Or otherwise, it may undermine the entire structure of United states of America.

If we look closely, there are few similar precedents in American history. For instance, there has never been a scenario where the incumbent President will be so insulting to the President-Elect. Moreover, there were some frictions in the past too. But, no one dare not accept the results after the courts decision was out. Thus, there is no such precedent in the past where the President will go to such lengths.
